Celia Navarro

Attorney and mediator, protective orders

Celia works at the two ends of family law: the calm table of a mediation, and the courtroom when someone needs protection.

Celia mediates divorces and parenting plans for couples who can still sit at a table, even a video one. She also represents people asking for a restraining order, and people answering one, at the hearing and after it.

She'll talk you through safety planning before she talks about paperwork, and she'll tell you plainly if mediation isn't safe for you.

How Celia works

In mediation, Celia sends both people the same written summary after every session, so no one leaves remembering a different meeting.

For a protective order, she can usually meet the same week, and she'll go over what the hearing will look like, down to where you'll sit.

Before law school she worked nights on a crisis line, which is where she learned to slow a conversation down.
